Songwriting

Crafting a song is akin to surfing a wave. Initially, it may seem straightforward and achievable within a short span of time, possibly even hours. However, to extend the metaphor, while riding a wave might not pose a significant challenge for those familiar with the process, sustaining this effort continuously for hours each day can present its own set of difficulties. Everyday I hit the beach break and try to catch a big one.

performance

Maintaining a relaxed body, activating the core, reducing mental chatter, and focusing keenly on both sound and emotion consistently elicit optimal vocal performance, a principle that applies broadly to other vocalists as well. Emphasizing the primacy of physical presence over mental distractions is crucial, and the current conditions described significantly enhance the likelihood of achieving this state.

production

Modern music production is a fusion of technical engineering and artistic creativity, requiring the simultaneous engagement of both analytical and imaginative faculties. Through a meticulous workflow, I have honed my mixing skills to generate rapid and innovative ideas.

As a dedicated student of Jaycen Joshua, a 17-time Grammy Award-winning Mixing Engineer, I had the privilege of attending his Mixing Masterclass. During our intensive four-day studio sessions, he imparted his comprehensive mixing process and philosophy, leaving no detail unexplored.

philosophy

The objective is to create an environment that fosters a sense of safety, enabling individuals to take creative risks and enjoy the process of exploring new possibilities. This is often where the most compelling music originates. By relinquishing control within the intense environment of music creation, individuals can express themselves physically in ways that convey meaning beyond explicit comprehension by the mind.
